There a kid had fallen among some of the toys. You left what you were doing and followed. He dropped everything and quickly walked behind a soft play structure. You stretched and then started helping out.Ī cry? It echoed through the daycare. Some of the kids were already playing in the play area and ball pit. Sun was waking the kids and putting away the beds. You pushed yourself up off the beanbags you were laying over and rubbed your eyes. That was the best you were going to get it seems. He rolled his eyes and started humming a soft tune. "Ok ok maybe I'll sleep… but only if you sing a lullaby." You giggled. "Yeah, I didn't sleep all that much last night." "It's half one in the afternoon." You laughed. I'm a daycare attendant almost as much as you are." "It's naptime." He said, patting the beanbag chair next to him. With all the kids settled down Moon read a story and sang a lullaby, soon all the kids were fast asleep. You ran around catching any kids, not in the play structures though, you left them to Moon you’d be at far too much of a disadvantage in there. "It's past your bedtime." He went back to catching the kids, settling them in the beds with a moondrop candy and a plush of their choice, you being ‘It’ as well had to do the same. Once you were done he dropped down from the ceiling, hanging upside-down in front of you, he booped your nose. You then set up the little beds with pillows and blankets and plushies, as Moon kept the kids entertained and wore them out a little so they slept better. The kids scattered for their naptime game of hide and seek. "It's Naaaap time." Moon chuckles crawling over to the little crowd. He spun and did a flip as he switched landing almost like a hero. Not long after the fun music faded to a soft lullaby as the lights dimmed, it was never completely dark but perfect for naps. The children clapped when you both finished your act and you gave a bow. Even if it was a little scary when he threw you about in the air up on the wires as he showed off to the kids but you trusted him. You both sang and danced for the kids and they sang and laughed along to his little song about friendship, it was always so cute. "Until the End!" You both sang in tandem. "Even if I've gone around the bend?" He spins a finger on either side of your head from behind. "Or anywhere you go." He did a somersault over you. "Yes, that's what it means to be a friend! Always there for you until theeee…" he sang. You knew your parts off by heart by now, of course, as you dance along. All of the regular kids sang along and a few of the newer ones tried to keep up. You're almost sure he came up with all these songs himself. He spun around and started singing one of the songs he frequently sang for the kids. "Oh ho you'll know when u hear it," he looked at the kids. "What song this time, Sunny?" You chimed and the kids went as quiet as kids can get when they're not up to mischief.
All the kids chatted as they sat in lines, anticipation growing. Sun took your hand and dragged you over to the middle of the daycare to an open area, Sun’s favourite stage for these antics.
"Ok, ok." Your break ended soon anyway so you put your book down and stood. "Let me guess you're looking for a performance partner?" You reply. The kids would like a song and dance." He blinked a few times as if fluttering eyelashes that he didn’t have. The colourful background of the daycare complements his sunny smile. You looked up from your phone to be greeted by a beaming Robot. Just like how… a puppy might when he wants a walkie.
